What is Robotics?

Robotics is an interdisciplinary sector of science and engineering dedicated to the design, construction and use of mechanical robots. and also Educational robotics — or pedagogical robotics — is a discipline designed to introduce students to Robotics and Programming interactively from a very early age.

Why is robotics important?

Robotics takes education technology to a new level, creating the next evolution in teaching. That’s because introducing robotics to schools means making STEM skills and knowledge hands-on and fun, to prepare students for the future in a way that feels more like creativity and less like homework.

Many of jobs created today and, in the future, will be automated by robots. More demands for robotics jobs mean more demands for students to learn robotics.

McKinsey Global Institute estimates that up to a one-third of all jobs have the potential to be automated by 2030.
