Little Imagineers

Little Imagineers are not simply great story tellers, they are the future creators who will create some of the greatest innovations of science, technology, engineering and math used in the service of storytelling. Science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) knowledge is a crucial element of innovation. Through our little engineers programs we make the kids to learn and practice the robotics and engineering through some simple equipments. STEM education is indispensable for all of kids. A hundred years ago, industrialization mandated that all citizens need to be literate in reading. Today, the information age mandates all citizens need to be literate in science, technology and math.

Why Little Imagineers

Engineering for kids is very helpful in several aspects such as bringing out the creativity and problem-solving skills in kids and making them learn coding and opening up several job aspects for kids. Little Imagineers (K-1st grade)

Introduction to conceptualizing and using imagination and creativity to fuel their creations

Class Experience: Beginner
9-week Program

Class Experience/Overview/Challenge:

Ever looked at amazing LEGO© builds and wonder how they are put together? What makes the build strong yet allows movement? This class is perfect for beginners with engineering in their mind’s eye. Together we will explore the parts and techniques for building strong mechanical creations, while learning the fundamentals of engineering principles.
Over the length of the course, students will discover how to use engineering techniques and processes to:
- Identify and use blocks to make shapes into structures
- Brainstorm and select appropriate equipment for building different structures
- Learn how to use gears and levers in their creations
- Learn how to improve their first builds to make it stronger
- Develop teamwork skills
- Learn how to compromise as part of a team
This class covers fundamentals of building and engineering principles while making each session engaging and fun. Each student will be encouraged to work the build out before touching a block and we believe that this will open up the minds of children to the world of STEM and ensure they will develop a process of thinking and planning that will be very useful in life with real world examples.
